On June 6, 2012, I found myself wallowing in the unfortunate bounty of two more years in Fitzwalkerstan and an entire case of lemons.  I also found myself seasonally unemployed (thanks again for those "reforms," Governor Tooljob!) and looking for ways to make ends meet until the new semester starts in the fall.

So I made lemonade. And lemon meringue pie.
And marmalade. And more marmalade.  And then some marmalade.  And it was so, so good.  I mean delicious. The best jam I ever made. And I make a lot of jam.


And everybody wanted some.

Life gave me lemons. So I'm sharing the love.

Life gives us all kinds of lemons. Please choose your label option when you order (Recall Jam or any occasion When life gives you lemons...). I'm sure you can think of some people who would feel just a little bit better about all the lemons life is dealing them if only they had a jar of some When life gives you lemons marmalade. Honey Ginger Lemon Marmalade
8 oz. jar. All natural ingredients: Lemons, ginger, sugar, honey, pectin, water.  Zippy-sweet. The most addictive jam I've ever made.  Delicious on toast, English muffins, etc. Julie Wells used it as a glaze for grilled salmon and says that was delicious.

  Lemonberry Marmalade 
8 oz. jar. All natural ingredients: Lemons, berries (vary by season), ginger, sugar, honey, pectin, water.  Blueberries are from Michigan. Strawberries are local. Mixed berries might be from somewhere else. The jar you get might not be exactly like the one in the picture. Jam is made to order in small batches using the best berries I can get. Depending on what we're in the mood for, the fruit is usually added whole at the end of processing the marmalade, creating a soft, easily spreadable jam (some batches are thicker than others depending on how much fruit there is and whether or not the fruit was cooked with the marmalade or added at the end - but it thickens once refrigerated). Really, really delicious. Great on waffles, pancakes, etc. My husband even spoons it on lemon ice.
