Recipient, "Official" Ironworker Metal of Honor (August 2011) in the "Shoving crushed glass into your eyes" category for "Onward Christian Soldiers: Kim Simac's Northwoods Crusade," a review of Simac's book," American Soldier Proud and Free. This award was granted by Milwaukee Ironworkers, for "subjecting yourself to page after horrifying page of Kim Simac's book - with the intent to make it through another one. Workers of Iron everywhere wish they had your fortitude. WELL DONE! (especially since we don't have to read it now)."

Video from the Sept. 26, 2011 NBC Education Nation "State of Education" event featuring a panel of governors, including Scott "Teachers Are Thugs" Walker. Brian Williams kicks off the session by reading to Walker from the open letter I sent to them, which Williams had read, but Walker seems to have accidentally deleted from his email.  Watching the governor squirm through this segment is the highest honor I have received to date.
